Grace, Grace, God's Grace...

Can it be that it's been almost a month to the day that I've blogged? I am so sorry! Busy, busy, busy with good things.

I am so very excited to share what's been going on with the ministries. The Ladies Bible study on Tuesdays is on hold for now only because Moms have so many extra responsibilities that we couldn't get our schedules together. But we have many exciting studies to do once the New Year begins.

Our Next Door Bible Study Group is doing great. More material will be loaded onto the Facebook pages so you can study with us. The past few weeks we've been studying through Genesis 25 and took a break in the middle to study Islam vs Christianity, the Koran vs the Bible. One of the young men in our group was Muslim and was saved by grace. He explained what life was like for him and how his father modeled his Muslim faith. His father is a moderate Muslim, yet there was no peace in their lives. He described some very tense moments and his decision to return to Georgia and to live with his Christian mother. He asks for prayers for the rest of his family to know Jesus. It was a very moving testimony. I hope you will check out the Mercy Abounds Facebook page or the Next Door Bible Study Facebook page and join us in our study through Genesis.

The Friday night UP Bible study is just rocking along. We finished volume 2 of the UP Bible Study series featuring Grits, Building 429 and Jessie Daniels. Through the holidays we'll be taking a break. We've watched Pilgrim's Progress which the kids loved, and we'll be watching Facing the Giants this Friday. I was not aware that my Facing the Giants movie had a Bible study with down loadable session sheets. The studies teach some very good principles, once the New Year starts we will begin this study with the kids before returning to Volume 3 of UP. We will be taking our first field trip to the Walk Through Bethlehem and The Next Door Bible Study and U-Turn Ministry members will assist us with their younger brothers and sisters in Christ as guides during the wait and the walk. What an opportunity for the older to teach the younger! I'm very proud of these guys.

Saturday Morning King's Kidz is so much fun! I hate you missed last Saturday. Poor Tracey had seven children to be responsible for herself and their were at least that many from the neighborhood who gathered to hear the Christmas story and decorate my tree. Every time I look at my tree I have to smile. The kids meticulously (as meticulously as 2-13 yr olds can) placed the lights, garland and ornaments and then they proceeded to knock it over! A great time was had by all. We did right the tree but I can't bring myself to redecorate it! It is adorable to me just like it is. We are having a great time talking about the Lord and celebrating His birth.

My Pastor from Green Acres Baptist Church in Warner Robins (www.greenacresbc.com ) has been challenging us to share the gospel this month more than any other because Jesus will be talked about in December more than any other time in the remaining eleven months. I passed this challenge on to the Next Door Bible Study today. I'd like to pass it on to you.

I know that some are hostile toward the mention of Jesus right now, but more are hoping toward that Name this time of year more than any other. There are people who need a miracle now. They need to see the Savior. Won't you share your testimony with someone this month? Tell them of the difference having Christ has made in your life. "Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in His presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored His Name. "They will be Mine," says the Lord Almighty, "in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not." Malachi 3:16-18 What a promise God gives if we will speak of Him! I ask you, won't you tell someone of His love this month? Today?

Thank you for your prayers for these children and please continue to pray for my healing. I am still struggling with walking again. I had hoped by now to have all my strength and range of motion back and that has not happened yet. I will be speaking with the doctor soon to decide what further action to take. Look out for those less fortunate, remember God's fondness for widows, and orphans, and those in need. Again, thank you for everything. If I can do anything for you, please contact me at the email provided.

To God be the glory,
Jamie
